Description

Wilcox Industries designs some of the most sophisticated and user-centric night vision helmet mount systems available. The first reaction people tend to have is to balk at the price tag. Sure, it is expensive, but like everything: you get what you pay for. Wilcox helmet mounts are, literally, works of engineering art. They are designed with direct input from US Warfighters at the very tip of the sharp stick. These designs are refined until they reach perfection and are then masterfully crafted in Wilcox’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

The Wilcox AN/PVS-14 Arm with NVG Interface Shoe and On/Off Feature provides a durable connection for mounting an AN/PVS-14 monocular to a Wilcox Combat Helmet Interface Mount. It can be easily mounted and dismounted from the AN/PVS-14 monocular by means of a thumb screw, and allows the operator to select the height and angle for comfort with the ability to make fine adjustments to the arm. 110 degrees of motion accommodates right or left eye dominance.

This version features an auto off mechanism by means of a push button on the end of a cable. The Button attaches to the L4 G24 Mount via a magnet permanently placed in the flip mechanism. When the operator pushes the flip button to raise the monocular, the off button is pressed by default, shutting off the PVS-14. NOTE: The PVS-14 power needs to be reset manually to turn it back on. Pressing the arm button a second time will not turn it back on. Another feature of this PVS-14 arm is a dog-leg design that kicks the monocular back slightly. This fixes an issue that some users have with the standard Wilcox PVS-14 Arm. The standard arm is straight and places the PVS-14 too far from the eye for some users. This newer model places it closer to the eye.

This Mounting Arm is only compatible with the AN/PVS-14 series of night vision monoculars and utilizes a dovetail interface. This means that it will only attach to a Wilcox mount and is not compatible with standard USGI-style bayonet mounts.
